Great progress has been made recently, with the electrical installation of the TESS-IND now complete. As the commissioning process continues, we have been applying energy to the heat store, to achieve the highly anticipated target temperature by next weeks end. It is currently sitting at just below 800 degrees C°.
This will also enable the energy recovery system to be commissioned.
In addition to the progress of the TESS-IND, the new heat store lids for the GAS-TESS project have arrived on site at our research and development facility at Southlink Industrial Park. The electrical heating configuration of the GAS-TESS has been replaced with aperture openings, suitable for the gas burners.
