New Appointments

We are pleased to advise that 1414 Degrees has appointed Dr Jordan Parham as Chief Operating Officer to lead the next phase in the Company’s development.

Dr Parham will commence with the Company on 14 January 2019 from his current role as CEO of FCT Combustion’s Asia-Pacific Business Unit.

Dr Parham holds qualifications, including a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Diploma in Project Management, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the University of Melbourne Business School.

His previous roles have included Combustion Engineer, Project Manager and Engineering Manager, where he led teams in the successful delivery of local, national and international projects. He also spent several years with the University of Adelaide at both the Centre for Energy Technology and as Manager of the Institute for Mineral and Energy Resources, the University‘s flagship organisation for interdisciplinary research in renewable energy, geoscience and resource engineering.

He brings a unique combination of technical, strategic, business and leadership skills, a strong interest in clean thermal energy technology, and a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector in Australia and globally.

As the COO, Dr Parham will work with the Company’s Executive team to execute the company vision and will play a critical role in securing the functionality of the business to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

The Company is pleased to also advise that Mr Julian Zhu has been appointed as Financial Controller. Mr Zhu has significant experience in a number of senior finance roles, including with ASX listed companies. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant (‘CPA’), and holds tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Economics and Computer Science. He was previously Business Financial Controller – Remanufacturing and Production Business with Liebherr Australia, and prior to that spent several years with John Shearer Holdings as Company Accountant. He has experience in Australia and China.
