Heat energy offers opportunity to transform global heat networks

The global renewables sector has largely directed its efforts toward development of new technologies to support the generation and storage of electricity. However, it is the use of heat energy, not electrical energy that dominates global energy requirements.

Supporting this need, one of the greatest assets of our TESS (Thermal Energy Storage System) is its heat output. Industry and utilities are reaching out to us due to our innovative approach to heat energy. By harnessing the stored energy directly to recover heat, we are able to offer a ‘product’ to heat users, including operators of heat networks across the globe.

Global interest increases



1414 Degrees Limited (ASX:14D) is pleased to announce that attending a recent conference in the United States has led to increased interest from global markets.

Our origins are in Australia a decade ago and our technology has long term, global relevance as renewable energy expands. Several weeks ago, at the suggestion of a North American utility, 1414 Degrees was invited to the Electrification 2018 Conference that attracted representatives from 90 per cent of the power utilities in the US.

1414 Degrees lists on the ASX

1414 Degrees Ltd (ASX:14D) is today listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) after raising $27 million and gaining more than 2,100 shareholders since it became a public company less than 21 months ago. The latest raising of $16.3 million was at 35 cents.

 “The Company originated in Australia a decade ago, and our technology has long term, worldwide relevance as the adoption of renewable energy increases,” said Executive Chairman, Dr Kevin Moriarty.

10MWh Progress Update: September 2018

The first stages of commissioning of the TESS-IND have progressed very well, including successful runs for several hours. Commissioning is a multi-stage process from verifying individual components to operability of the control systems to optimising power generation.
